Joosefin unet ja hänen veljiensä kateus. Joosef myydään Egyptiin.

2. Tämä on kertomus Jaakobin suvusta. Kun Joosef oli seitsemäntoista vuoden vanha, oli hän veljensä kanssa lampaita paimentamassa; hän oli nuorukaisena isänsä vaimojen Bilhan ja Silpan poikien seurassa. Ja hän kertoi isälleen, mitä pahaa kuuli heistä puhuttavan.

5. Kerran Joosef näki unen ja kertoi sen veljilleen; sen jälkeen he vihasivat häntä vielä enemmän.

9. Ja hän näki vielä toisenkin unen, jonka hän kertoi veljilleen ja sanoi: Minä näin vielä unen: katso, aurinko ja kuu ja yksitoista tähteä kumarsivat minua.

9 And he dreamed yet another dream and told it to his brothers. And said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream again. And behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing-down to me.

9. Und er hatte noch einen andern Traum, den erzählte er seinen Brüdern und sprach: Siehe, ich habe einen Traum gehabt: Mich deuchte, die Sonne und der Mond und elf Sterne neigten sich vor mir.

9. Y soñó más otro sueño, y contólo a sus hermanos, diciendo: He aquí que he soñado otro sueño: Y he aquí que el sol y la luna, y once estrellas se inclinaban a mí.

9 И видел он еще другой сон и рассказал его братьям своим, говоря: вот, я видел еще сон: вот, солнце и луна и одиннадцать звезд поклоняются мне.

10. Ja kun hän kertoi sen isälleen ja veljilleen, nuhteli hänen isänsä häntä ja sanoi hänelle: Mikä uni se on, jonka sinä olet nähnyt? Olisiko minun ja äitisi ja veljiesi tultava kumartumaan sinun eteesi maahan?

10 And he told it to his father and to his brothers. And his father rebuked him and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow-down ourselves to you to the earth?

10. And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

10. Und da das seinem Vater und seinen Brüdern gesagt ward, strafte ihn sein Vater und sprach zu ihm: Was ist das für ein Traum, der dir geträumt hat? Soll ich und deine Mutter und deine Brüder kommen und vor dir niederfallen?

10. Y contólo a su padre y a sus hermanos, y su padre le reprendió, y díjole: ¿Qué sueño es este que soñaste? ¿Hemos de venir yo y tu madre, y tus hermanos a inclinarnos a tí a tierra?

10 И он рассказал отцу своему и братьям своим; и побранил его отец его и сказал ему: что это за сон, который ты видел? неужели я и твоя мать, и твои братья придем поклониться тебе до земли?

11. Ja hänen veljensä kadehtivat häntä; mutta hänen isänsä pani tämän mieleensä.

11 And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the saying in mind.

12 And his brothers went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.

12. Da nun seine Brüder hingingen, zu weiden das Vieh ihres Vaters in Sichem,

13. sanoi Israel Joosefille: Sinun veljesi ovat paimenessa Sikemissä; tule, minä lähetän sinut heidän luokseen. Hän vastasi: Tässä olen.

13. Sanoi Israel Josephille: eikö veljes kaitse karjaa Sikemissä? Tule, minä lähetän sinun heidän tykönsä; hän vastasi: tässä minä olen.

13 And Israel said to Joseph, Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come and I will send you to them. And he said to him, Here I am.

13. And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.

13 И сказал Израиль Иосифу: братья твои не пасут ли в Сихеме? пойди, я пошлю тебя к ним. Он отвечал ему: вот я.

14. Ja hän sanoi hänelle: Mene katsomaan, kuinka veljesi ja karja voivat, ja kerro sitten minulle. Niin hän lähetti hänet matkalle Hebronin laaksosta, ja hän tuli Sikemiin.

14. Hän sanoi: mene ja katso, ovatko veljes ja karja rauhassa, ja palaja minulle sitä sanomaan. Ja hän lähetti hänen Hebronin laaksosta; ja hän tuli Sikemiin.

14 And he said to him, Go now, see whether it is well with your brothers and well with the flock and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the valley of Hebron and he came to Shechem.

14. And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

14. Und er sprach: Gehe hin und sieh, ob's wohl stehe um deine Brüder und um das Vieh, und sage mir wieder Antwort. Und er sandte ihn aus dem Tal Hebron, daß er gen Sichem ginge.

14. Y él le dijo: Vé ahora, mira como están tus hermanos, y como están las ovejas, y tráeme la respuesta. Y envióle del valle de Hebrón, y vino a Siquem.

14 И сказал ему: пойди, посмотри, здоровы ли братья твои и цел ли скот, и принеси мне ответ. И послал его из долины Хевронской; и он пришел в Сихем.

15. Ja muuan mies kohtasi hänet, hänen harhaillessaan kedolla; ja mies kysyi häneltä: Mitä etsit?

15. Niin yksi mies kohtasi hänen eksyksissä kedolla; ja kysyi häneltä sanoen: mitäs etsit?

15. Nijn yxi mies löysi hänen exyxis kedolla ja kysyi hänelle sanoden: mitäs edzit?

15 And a certain man found him, and behold, he was wandering in the field. And the man asked him, saying, What do you seek?

15. Da fand ihn ein Mann, daß er irreging auf dem Felde; der fragte ihn und sprach: Wen suchst du?

15. Y hallóle un hombre andando él perdido por el campo, y preguntóle aquel hombre, diciendo: ¿Qué buscas?

15 И нашел его некто блуждающим в поле, и спросил его тот человек, говоря: чего ты ищешь?

16. Hän vastasi: Minä etsin veljiäni; sano minulle, missä he ovat paimentamassa.

16. Hän vastasi: minä etsin veljiäni: sanos minulle, kussa he kaitsevat karjaa.

16. Hän wastais: minä edzin weljejäni sanos minulle cusa he caidzewat carja?

16 And he said, I am seeking my brothers. I beseech you, tell me where they are feeding.

16. And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.

16. Er antwortete: Ich suche meine Brüder; sage mir doch an, wo sie hüten.

17. Mies vastasi: He lähtivät pois täältä, sillä minä kuulin heidän sanovan: 'Menkäämme Dootaniin.' Niin Joosef meni veljiensä jäljissä ja löysi heidät Dootanista.

17 And the man said, They have departed from here, because I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brothers and found them in Dothan.

17. And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

17. Der Mann sprach: Sie sind von dannen gezogen; denn ich hörte, daß sie sagten: Laßt uns gen Dothan gehen. Da folgte Joseph seinen Brüdern nach und fand sie zu Dothan.

17. Y aquel hombre respondió: Ya se han ido de aquí: y yo les oí decir: Vamos a Dotaín: entónces José fué tras sus hermanos, y hallólos en Dotaín.

17 И сказал тот человек: они ушли отсюда, ибо я слышал, как они говорили: пойдем в Дофан. И пошел Иосиф за братьями своими инашел их в Дофане.

18. Kun he kaukaa näkivät hänet ja ennenkuin hän saapui heidän luokseen, pitivät he neuvoa tappaaksensa hänet.

18. Kuin he kaukana näkivät hänen, ja ennenkuin hän heitä lähestyi, pitivät he neuvoa häntä vastaan, tappaaksensa häntä.

18 And they saw him afar off. And before he came near to them, they conspired against him to kill him.

18. Als sie ihn nun sahen von ferne, ehe er denn nahe zu ihnen kam machten sie einen Anschlag, daß sie ihn töteten,

18. Y como ellos le vieron de léjos, ántes que llegase cerca de ellos, pensaron contra él para matarle.

18 И увидели они его издали, и прежде нежели он приблизился к ним, стали умышлять против него, чтобы убить его.

19. He sanoivat toisillensa: Katso, tuolla tulee se unennäkijä!

19. Ja sanoivat toinen toisellensa: katso, tuo unennäkiä tulee.

19. Ja sanoit toinen toisellens: cadzo toi unen näkiä tule.

19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer comes.

19. And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

19. und sprachen untereinander: Seht, der Träumer kommt daher.

19 И сказали друг другу: вот, идет сновидец;

20. Tulkaa, tappakaamme nyt hänet ja heittäkäämme hänet johonkin kaivoon ja sanokaamme: villipeto on hänet syönyt. Saammepa sitten nähdä, mitä hänen unistaan tulee.

20 Come now therefore and let us kill him and cast him into one of the pits. And we will say, An evil beast has devoured him. And we will see what will become of his dreams.

20. So kommt nun und laßt uns ihn erwürgen und in eine Grube werfen und sagen, ein böses Tier habe ihn gefressen, so wird man sehen, was seine Träume sind.

20. Ahora pues veníd, y matémosle, y echémosle en una cisterna, y diremos: Alguna mala bestia le tragó: y veremos que serán sus sueños.

20 пойдем теперь, и убьем его, и бросим его в какой-нибудь ров, и скажем, что хищный зверь съел его; и увидим, что будет из его снов.

21. Kun Ruuben sen kuuli, tahtoi hän pelastaa hänet heidän käsistään ja sanoi: Älkäämme lyökö häntä kuoliaaksi.

21 And Reuben heard it and delivered him out of their hand and said, Let us not take his life.

22. Und weiter sprach Ruben zu ihnen: Vergießt nicht Blut, sondern werft ihn in die Grube, die in der Wüste ist, und legt die Hand nicht an ihn. Er wollte ihn aber aus ihrer Hand erretten, daß er ihn seinem Vater wiederbrächte.

22. Y díjoles Rubén: No derrameis sangre: echádle en esta cisterna, que está en el desierto; y no metáis mano en él: por escaparle de sus manos, para hacerlo volver a su padre.

22 И сказал им Рувим: не проливайте крови; бросьте его в ров, который в пустыне, а руки не налагайте на него. Сие говорил он , чтобы избавить его от рук их и возвратить его к отцу его.

25 И сели они есть хлеб, и, взглянув, увидели, вот, идет из Галаада караван Измаильтян, и верблюды их несут стираксу, бальзам и ладан: идут они отвезти это в Египет.

26. Silloin Juuda sanoi veljillensä: Mitä hyötyä meillä on siitä, että surmaamme veljemme ja salaamme hänen verensä?

26 И сказал Иуда братьям своим: что пользы, если мы убьем брата нашегои скроем кровь его?

27. Tulkaa, myykäämme hänet ismaelilaisille, mutta älköön kätemme sattuko häneen, sillä hän on meidän veljemme, meidän omaa lihaamme. Ja hänen veljensä kuulivat häntä.

28 и, когда проходили купцы Мадиамские, вытащили Иосифа изо рва и продали Иосифа Измаильтянам за двадцать сребренников; а они отвели Иосифа в Египет.

29. Kun sitten Ruuben palasi kaivolle, niin Joosefia ei enää ollut kaivossa. Silloin hän repäisi vaatteensa,

29. Als nun Ruben wieder zur Grube kam und fand er Joseph nicht darin, zerriß er sein Kleid

29. Y Ruben volvió a la cisterna, y, he aquí José no estaba dentro; y rompió sus vestidos.

29 Рувим же пришел опять ко рву; и вот, нет Иосифа ворве. И разодрал он одежды свои,

30. palasi veljiensä luo ja sanoi: Poika on kadonnut. Voi minua, minne minä joudun!

32. Y enviaron la ropa de colores, y trajéronla a su padre, y dijeron: Esta hemos hallado: conoce ahora si es la ropa de tu hijo, o no.

32 и послали разноцветную одежду, и доставили к отцу своему, и сказали: мы это нашли; посмотри, сына ли твоего эта одежда, или нет.

33. Ja tarkastettuaan sen hän sanoi: Tämä on minun poikani ihokas. Villipeto on hänet syönyt; totisesti, Joosef on raadeltu kuoliaaksi.

35 И собрались все сыновья его и все дочери его, чтобы утешить его; но он не хотел утешиться и сказал: с печалью сойду к сыну моему в преисподнюю. Так оплакивал его отец его.
